Hotel Porter
Hi my name is Christian Burke and I am a porter at a four star hotel in Leeds. I have been at the hotel for 12 months and enjoy my role in Concierge.
One of the benefits of being on concierge is that we get to drive all the nice cars such as Porches as well as making the guests feel welcome.
A career in hotel and leisure has many benefits including the fact that you can enjoy a variety of jobs as you move through the ranks and become whatever you want to be. For example I could move into reception if I wanted to, you also get benefits for staying in hotels at reduced rates.
I am currently a student studying at Leeds University. My future career plans are to become a team leader and then a HOD and in 5 years time become a General Manager of a small hotel somewhere.
